Databases age differently than frameworks: the incumbents here measure their histories in decades, so their star curves under-count influence enormously — Postgres and SQLite run half the world from mirrors that only joined GitHub late. That makes the newer entrants easier to read: DuckDB's analytics-in-process pitch and ClickHouse's columnar speed both show the sharp modern growth you'd expect from projects born on GitHub.
